The Privacy Perimeter

Client discovered their budget WiFi cameras were sending unencrypted footage to servers in East Asia. Required immediate lockdown.

VIEW TECHNICAL ANALYSIS

THE VULNERABILITY

Packet inspection revealed unauthorized outbound traffic on port 80. Default passwords were hardcoded.

THE SOVEREIGN FIX

We installed a local NVR running Frigate with a Google Coral TPU for local person detection. Cameras were blocked from the internet via VLAN rules.
